A family interest became a Pennsylvania apiary built around patience, learning, and hands-on work.
Awckland’s began with a single beehive in the family’s front yard. That first colony did not survive the year, but the experience started something that lasted.
Classes, conferences, experienced beekeepers, and time in the bee yard helped the family continue learning. As the apiary grew, beekeeping became full-time work and the family remained involved in the jobs that happen between caring for the hives and filling a jar.
Today the story includes raw local honey, distinctive varietals, smooth spreadable honey, and other products connected to the apiary.
