A Story Box Collection
Honey does not have to stay in the bottle. Through careful crystallization, it can become smooth, creamy and wonderfully spreadable—ready for toast, biscuits, waffles, oatmeal, cheese boards and countless discoveries beyond the breakfast table.
The Spreadable Honey Cabinet Collection lets the recipient choose four 12-ounce jars from Awckland’s imaginative assortment of sweet, spiced, savory and adventurous honey spreads.
They might build a comforting cabinet around cinnamon, chocolate and seasonal flavors, explore bolder combinations such as habanero or everything bagel, or repeat the varieties they already know they will love.
Every jar is crafted by Awckland’s Sugar Shack & Apiary, a family-run beekeeping business in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. What began with a single front-yard hive grew into a working apiary dedicated to honey, pollination and the care of hundreds of colonies.
This is more than four jars of honey. It is an invitation to discover how one natural ingredient can move from sweet to savory, familiar to unexpected and breakfast table to evening cheese board.

Meet the Maker
Four jars may travel in very different flavor directions, but every one begins with the same family-run maker and a fascination with what honey can become.
Quakertown, Pennsylvania
Awckland’s began its beekeeping journey in 2012 with a single hive in the family’s front yard. Although that first colony did not survive the year, the experience started something much larger.
Through classes, conferences and years of practical experience, the family continued learning how to care for bees through Pennsylvania’s changing seasons. By 2025, the operation had grown to approximately 250 hives.
Today, Awckland’s is a family-run apiary offering local raw honeys, pollination services and an especially creative collection of spreadable honeys. Its flavors can move from comforting cinnamon and chocolate to lavender, espresso, pumpkin spice, habanero and savory everything-bagel seasoning.
We chose Awckland’s because it treats honey as something to explore. Each spread begins with the familiar sweetness of honey but develops its own personality, pairing and place in the pantry.
Meet Awckland’s Sugar Shack & ApiaryBehind the Tradition
Spreadable honey—often called creamed or whipped honey—is made by guiding honey through controlled crystallization. Instead of forming large, coarse crystals, it develops a fine and remarkably smooth texture.
The finished honey stays thick enough for spreading while retaining the natural sweetness that makes honey so versatile. It can be spooned onto toast, biscuits, pancakes and oatmeal without immediately running off the plate.
Flavored versions take that familiar texture in new directions. Sweet varieties can finish breakfast or dessert, while savory and spicy combinations can accompany cheese, vegetables, meats and appetizers.
This four-jar collection turns the honey cabinet into a tasting experience—one spoonful, pairing and unexpected flavor at a time.
